about
haley garrett
Born and raised in Greenville, South Carolina, Haley has always had a passion for old and custom homes, beautiful details, and classical character. From the time Haley Garrett was a little girl, she knew that she wanted to be a professional within the Interior Design field. From designing her doll houses, to constantly redesigning her bedroom, to designing vacation bible school at church, to working for professional designers, she wanted more.
She is currently a senior in the School of Interior Design at Anderson University (SC). While studying at Anderson University, she discovered her love only grew deeper. Her purpose in life is to serve others by creating functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces that will enhance their lives, create memories, and tell a story. Functionality and aestheticism should balance each other out, one should not outweigh the other. Within interior design, her interests include being hands on, communicating, space planning, and selecting hard-scape and soft-goods (finishes, furniture, fixtures, accessories, and more). She is inspired daily though media outlets, artwork, and the beauty of nature. Haley also stays up-to-date with the new fashion, latest fads and trends, and design trends through social media outlets, magazines, shopping, and observing the surrounding environments.
Haley has five main goals: have faith, pray daily, know your purpose, grow in everything you do, and never stop being passionate. Every day, new opportunities arise. Without trying, is failing, and we have to remind ourselves that failing leads to success. Time management, critical thinking, and positive thinking, help her to balance these goals daily.
